Beginner Bodyweight Workout A Week 2 Day 2
I did this workout today. I was greatly inspired by watching part of an episode of The Biggest Loser. I also watched Fat Free Fiances while doing my intervals and stretching. The man and woman, Amber Sledd & Benny Hidalgo, in today’s show each weighed 215. At the end of the 12 week period Benny had lost 39 pounds and Amber had lost 46 pounds. Incredible! Warm-up Circuit
Warmup A) Bodyweight Squat 2×10
Warmup B) Plank 2×20 secs

Yesterday, I did a fast 30 minute walk with my wife. Today, I’m about to finish up an Eat Stop Eat 24 hr fast in about 30 minutes.
Before Transformation Contest
This is a difficult post. I’m posting my weight, measurements and my before pictures. The most difficult part is looking at the incontrovertible evidence of my pear shape and man boobs in the pictures! It’s too easy to only look at myself from the neck up in the mirror, too easy to avoid full length mirrors.
I’m doing this because I’m entering the twelve week Turbulence Training Transformation Contest. Public commitment is one of the best factors to include in your goal achieving to increase your chances of reaching the goal. My goal is to win the contest and to achieve a weight of 235 pounds, that is a reduction of 25 pounds about 2 pounds per week. This is going to take a serious effort with regard to my workouts and some big changes in my eating habits.
So, my statistics as of 2 January 2009:
Age: 42
Height: 5′9″
Weight: 260
Neck: 17″
Fore arms: 13″
Upper arms: 15″
Chest: 48″
Waist: 49″
Hips: 51″
Thighs: 27″
Calves: 16″
It is very disappointing to have turned into a pear! But I’m going to transform this body over the next twelve weeks! Here are the pictures.

Fast Paced 30 Minute Walk
Walking is not strenuous, but it is an exercise that almost everyone can do. It’s an exercise that is easy to continue doing and requires little or no equipment. My wife and I walked 30 minutes last night in the dark. I got distracted during the day, but didn’t want to skip getting some exercise. I always seem to walk faster when I walk w/ someone. Thanks for going with me LEB. It felt very good mentally to keep my commitment to myself. I was also motivated by catching a couple of episodes of The Biggest Loser reruns on Bravo.
