Walking Is Joyful
I took three breaks during work yesterday to walk. I first walked 10 minutes and then 12 minutes twice. It was a joy to walk in the warm, sunny breezes on the latter two breaks. It is a joy to be able to walk without pain. It is a joy to walk at all.
So, I got in a total of thirty-four minutes of what The FLYLady would call, loving movement. How much loving movement did you bless your body and soul with?
Good on you! It’s funny how great just going for a walk makes you feel – it really clears the mind!

@ladlam Exactly! It really lets the ideas flow. I work with computers all day. I’ve got to get up and move!

I have taken quite a few long walks and a few duck-and-dodge walks in NYC over the last week. I feel a lot better, despite having a strained tendon in my right ankle. The pain is no where near as bad as it was, so I can really concentrate on just breathing, thinking and enjoying the scenery (of my old, urban neighborhood in NJ).
